HRVs and ERVs are sometimes misunderstood: they are ventilation and not space-heating or heat-delivery devices. While they capture and reuse heating or cooling energy from conditioned air that traditional ventilation systems simply expel from a living space, the energy saved is offset by increased electricity use. New Ecology’s Maciej Konieczny, Senior Project Manager, and Henry Harvey, Director of Engineering, will present an overview of the technology and its applications.
