A boiler outdoor reset control coordinates boiler water temperature with outdoor temperature: the warmer the outside temperature is, the less the boiler heats the water in the heating system. A boiler warm weather shutdown shuts off the boilers automatically when the outdoor temperature is warm enough to provide adequate indoor temperatures. Most properties we visit have their controls set too high since it is common to raise the boiler temperature in response to zone issues. When working with multifamily property owners CEE helps the onsite staff optimize their boiler controls to maximize energy savings while providing adequate heat to the building. In this presentation will go over our process for assessing the controls, determining the optimal settings, and teaching on-site managers how to adjust the controls in response to over/under-heating issues.
