New Ecology, Inc. installed low-cost monitoring equipment on gas heating and hot water systems in over 100 buildings in Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the fall of 2016. Our project set out to create a low-cost approach to monitoring and optimization for those who can’t afford what has been commercially available and who need simplicity. Over two years later, a great deal is still being discovered about securing, maintaining and increasing gas savings. This session shares what was learned about what is really happening in boiler rooms and how we pursue gas savings and improved building operation with this service.
